Color Correction - My Way =)

People edit old photos in many2 ways. I edit mine with my way. It is not a well taught LimKokWing way of photo editing, its a self taught and some old references from magazines which I cant remember the sources.
Old photos comes in many color degradation. Some become bluish, reddish, yellowish and so on. In this case, photo grabbed is reddish. So, I tried to neutralize it's overall toning to more eye friendly color scheme.
1. Duplicate Layer. Set to Color blend mode.
2. Apply Gaussian Blur. Use small value for small res photo. This blur helps to reduce noise in color correction later.
3. Color Balance. Adjust slider accordingly. I reduced red color in this photo, and increased a bit blue & cyan.
4. Hue & Saturation - Some colors still need adjustment. Play around on every color slider. See what color is disturbing and need to be desaturated, or vise versa.
5. I also does selective area to fix disturbing colors. Sometimes in the shadow area theres too much cyan/blues. By making them gone, I gets more contrast and simple coloration.
6. Level - to enhance contrast. (some people love bright photos, i prefer a bit darkened.. subjective issue).
7. Framed & Vignetted. Done.. some colors still not so good especially skin tone.
